Though my husband and I were interested in Buchwald's book because of the seeming similarity of experiences with hospice, upon reading the book we found that very little of Bob's experience was similar to what Art went through. In fact, we were rather disappointed that Art made his last book yet another satirical comment on the "politics of dying with hospice". Perhaps we were not yet ready to laugh about the horror Bob had been through. I smiled a few times upon reading. Bob read it in one afternoon, and I did not hear a single giggle coming from him. I would not recommend the book for anyone except a Buchwald relative or close friend.

It is too bad that the book was not better. His earlier writing was so good. He not only entertained us for years, he made a lot of people stop and think.
