"The Blue Noon" is a mildly entertaining but a bit contrived "spy" story set in France and England during WWII. It is "Based on a True Story" which I find is often the kiss of death!
In this case I find it hard to believe that it is factual... that snapping sound you hear is my credulity!
If the book is, indeed, based on truth... it certainly is a vindication of the old saying that "Truth is stranger than fiction."
Some books I hate to finish because they are so good...
