"Zorba the Greek"

What can I say about Zorba the Greek by Nikos Kazantzakis. A wonderful story told through the eyes of the narrator, a young man with cerebral palsy. He hires a man named Alexis Zorba to be his cook and foreman but then, through Zorba, learns much more than ever expected. For Zorba has a lust and a passion for life that jumps from the pages of the novel into the readers very soul. A book that will stir your passions and one that I would recommend to everyone for I am sure they will appreciate the simplicity yet the wonder of Zorba and, in a way, envy him as well. Some may find it a bit sexist...set in 1914....and of course Zorba is not the religious type either. So it's not for everyone's taste...you will love it or hate it.
